I can't even go back to 6, since the license had to be surrendered to 7. If I ever have to do any changes in one of the many projects I worked on over the last few months, I'll have to improvise. The thing with the missing snapshot automation when opening a project where I had v6 running is a huge piece of sh*t. Thanks, I received an email from AudioEase today, apologizing for the mistake and already having put the XL license to my iLok account. The browser is a significant improvement.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong though? Despite the new automation being one of the major sales points, there is very little about using automation in the user manual. Once you've written automation you can copy and paste, you just can't manually write a change to new IR.
The solution is to go into latch automation mode choose a different IR in the browser and then "write to next". Using the grabber tool to simply write a breakpoint at the desired location to change IR. So I had to go through and write the new IR automation instead.Īnother slight annoyance is that it does not seem possible to simply write automation manually to the automation lane any more. One problem I did notice when opening a PT session was that while the snapshots I'd created in v6 did appear in v7, the actual snapshot automation had disappeared and the snapshot automation parameter was not even enabled for automation.

You got a bug there, I did the upgrade from 6XL and got a 7XL iLok licence no problem. Waiting for a reply from AudioEase-support.ĭid anyone else do the free upgrade from 6XL? Please share. I had 6XL and did the (free) upgrade, but my XL license was replaced with a 7 REGULAR license.
